Step by Step - Getting Started Guide
Step 3 - Start Using Your Pivot Table

Your Pivot Table is ready to be used. Here is what you can do to start analyzing your data.
Filtering:
- Click on a "Slicer" button to see all the members you can use to filter the data in the report.
- Click on one of the members and click OK. The report will now be filtered to that member only (Example: filtering your report by the "French" subject)

Slicing and Dicing:
- Drag and drop a slicer button into the table on the right to change the layout and "dice" the report in different ways:
- You can choose to "Replace" the existing dimension (for example, instead of showing 'scores by student name' change to 'score by subject')
- You can choose to "Nest Before" an existing dimension (for example, you can see the scores by subject and then by student name)
- You can choose to "Nest After" an existing dimension (for example, you can see the scores by student and then by subject)

Quick Tips:
- If you can't see the slicer click on the "Show Slicer" button ->
- Never be scared to try things as you can always go back to a previous stage using the Undo button! - >

- Members are the values inside a dimension. You can choose to show the high level category by choosing "Replace Dimension" or see a breakdown of all the values by choosing "Replace with Me".
Sorting, Selecting, Advanced Filtering and Hiding:
Right click on the header of the table to enable sorting, advanced 'value based filtering' and hiding of sections in the table.
