This chapter explains how to build a new workboard.
A workboard consists of at least one view component that brings data from a data source, and other types of components (chart, image, text and others) that are connected to a view or that supply information from external sources and media.
Building a new workboard involves three stages: First, you use the New Workboard Wizard to create the workboard and assign it a name. Then, you add a view component to connect to a data source and bring data to your workboard. The third stage, adding more components, can be performed at any time.
This chapter covers the first and second stages. The third stage is covered in Adding a Component.
After building a new workboard, you can define permissions to share with other users.
