Panorama Software Launches Solutions for SAP NetWeaver BI at It's Annual BI Conference
Conference Draws 700 Attendees from Across Israel
March 7, 2007 - Panorama hosted its annual customer conference at the Hilton Hotel in Tel Aviv on Wednesday March 6th 2007. The well-planned conference, produced very successfully by People and Computers, was a demonstration of strength for the company, which leads the BI market in Israel. Panorama and Ness Technologies, its strategic partner in Israel, presented an inspiring set of complementary BI solutions for the BW/SAP environment. An impressive audience of 700 customers, senior managers, BI experts and 12 business partners were present at the event.
At the conference, the company presented its product roadmap for BI, branded Proactive Business Intelligence. Gil Nizri, Managing Director of Panorama Israel, and Uri Rubin, Product Manager at Panorama, presented and demonstrated the next generation of business intelligence products. Proactive BI enables true operational BI capabilities by providing a working environment that is at the heart of business processes and adapts to each information consumer inside the organization. Information workers can build their own work environment (a personalized dashboard) and integrate with one or more of their Office applications.
Panorama also demonstrated the ability to integrate BI with workflow and BPM applications. This enables information workers to take structured actions when an insight appears. The integration with business processes enable customers to automate routine tasks where BI acts as a trigger to initiate complex business process throughout the organization. Dedi Devorsky, General Manager of NessPro, spoke about the commercial collaboration between the companies and congratulated Panorama for its accomplishments.
Five of Panorama’s business partners presented with their customers some of Panorama’s best case studies, demonstrating Panorama’s versatility and ability to improve organizational performance. Gilon Ltd., together with the CRM department manager of YES, the Israeli satellite television company, presented the added value and contribution of Panorama to YES’ everyday operations and marketing campaign management. HighView Co. along with the Israel Police presented a Scorecard solution, which apparently is the largest of its kind in the world (with over 6,500 users). Integrity (Glasshouse), together with Raz Mishkovitz, the VP of Information Systems for Tami 4, a mineral water manufacturer, presented their business intelligence system. Tami 4 gathers CRM data from Siebel, ERP data from Priority Systems and other data from additional systems into a single BI solution that supports Tami 4’s management strategy, “customer-focused marketing.” Consyst Co. (Prognosis) and the CIO of the Lubinsky Group presented a business intelligence system which provides the group’s top management with analysis of profitability, financial and business feasibility and everything relating to the group’s operations in the automotive field.
Another attraction was IBM. They demonstrated a live demonstration of powerful business intelligence solutions for BW/SAP environment. Shimon Felikovitz, BI manager at Supersol, a leading Israeli grocer, connected via the Internet to a “live” SAP server at Supersol and demonstrated the Panorama-based management dashboard, carrying out dynamic and intuitive analysis using Supersol’s complex BW environment.
A presentation was also given at the conference by NPS, Panorama’s partner in Eastern Europe. NPS specializes in Panorama-based business intelligence solutions on Microsoft’s ERP and CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics). The company presented a unique BI solution – both for Microsoft Navision and for Microsoft CRM. There was considerable interest among participants because Microsoft is planning to launch its ERP solution in Israel later this year.
The event ended with a CIO panel during which key CIOs of customers using Panorama’s solution answered questions around BI. The panel included Avi Katko – VP Information Systems in Tel Aviv Municipality; Iris Nachshoni – VP Information Systems at Mei Eden; Reuven Kovent, CEO of Dunn & Bradstreet Israel, which recently launched a Panorama-based risk management solution for its customers; and the customer relations manager of YES. The panel was moderated by Gal Rimon, CEO of Gilon Israel, and focused on the topic of return on investment in business intelligence systems. Throughout the event, participants were kept amused by Shimi Atias, the well-known telepathist appearing on television, with a performance that was both entertaining and amazing.
In short, Panorama, with over 700 customers in Israel, demonstrated the strength appropriate to the leading BI player in the Israeli market, at an impressive and distinguished event that contributed a great deal to all those who attended.
