All the data in the grid is also displayed in the chart and when you make changes in the grid, the chart changes according to your selection. You can choose to display in the chart only a certain part of the grid data by selecting that area. You can select data only from members of the same level.
Selecting a Row or a Column
In the grid, click and drag the selection rectangle across a row or column to display that row or column in the chart. The entire row/column is highlighted.
In the following example, the selection rectangle is drawn across two of the cells but the entire Catalog row is highlighted for display.
When you release the mouse, the chart displays only the highlighted data.
Displaying the Entire Grid in the Chart
In the grid, click and drag the selection rectangle diagonally. All the data is highlighted.
Release the mouse to display the data in the chart.
Selecting with Ctrl-Drag
Holding down the Ctrl key while dragging the selection rectangle enables you to make more specific selections. Use this ability in the following ways:
·Hold down Ctrl, and click and drag the selection rectangle diagonally to highlight the area you want to select.
·Hold down Ctrl, and click and drag the selection rectangle across a highlighted row or column to deselect that row or column.
