Component Properties

There are separate property sections for each workboard component.

Refresh

In a view component, the data can be automatically refreshed at intervals set in this property. “Never” means there will be no automatic refreshing. To enable automatic refreshing, choose the required interval.

Inherit properties from workboard

When set to Yes, properties will be inherited from the workboard’s skin. In order to enable editing of some of the properties, you need to set Inherit properties from workboard to No.

Border

The type of border to appear around the chosen component. The possibilities are:

·         Smart: A border appears around the component only when pointing at it.

·         Complex: A border with a shadow.

·         Simple: Simple border line.

·         None: No border appears.

Actions

This property is used to define an action to be executed from the title bar or other locations of the component. For explanations, see the “Actions” property in Workboard Properties.

Show title

This property enables you to show and hide the component title bar. To hide the title bar, set the property to No.

Title text

Here you can enter a title for the component. This title will appear on the component’s title bar, overriding the default title. You can edit the caption text to display another title.

Buttons

This property enables you to add action buttons to a component. Click the value column to open the button editor:

To create a button:

1.      Click the Create  button.

2.      The default button appears in Image. You can choose another image from the dropdown list.

3.      In Action, enter the script that the button should run.

4.      In Tooltip, enter a tooltip text for the button.

5.      Click OK. The button will appear on the component’s title bar as illustrated in the following example.

Use the editor buttons in the following way:

To…

Copy the previous button. Use for creating a new button based on the previous definition, and enter the changes.

Move the selected button up in the list.

Move the selected button down in the list.

Remove the selected button.

Remove all buttons.

 

After creating a button, you can edit its properties at any time.
